Scout Her In! Pillar

Enrich the future of our Council and its programs through Scout Her In! initiatives. Our ongoing goal is to serve more female Scouts by recruiting and training additional female volunteers, and increasing the number of female and combined units. Become part of making Scout Her In! a success in our communities.

Develop Female Scout Participation, Leadership, and Success!

Scouting is for girls, too—and this fund ensures they’re not only included, but empowered. The Scout Her In! Fund supports recruitment, training, and program development specifically focused on girls and female volunteers. It’s how we welcome more young women into our community of leadership, service, and adventure.

We know that mentorship matters. That’s why this fund may also support a staff member focused exclusively on growing and guiding female membership. From the first Pinewood Derby to the Eagle Scout board of review, girls deserve every opportunity to lead, grow, and achieve.

Supporting this fund means standing for equality in action. It ensures that girls have access to the same transformative experiences that have defined Scouting for over a century—while also shaping a future that’s even more inclusive and inspiring.

“Wearing this uniform as a girl means I get to do everything my brothers did—and lead my own patrol too.”

—13-year-old Tenderfoot Scout

“Scouting isn’t about who you are—it’s about who you become. Let’s open that journey to everyone.”

—Adapted from Scouting America statements on inclusion

“There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish.”
