2026 Council Recognition Afternoon Event
Celebrate the Stars in our Council!
Join us on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026 to honor and celebrate the Class of 2025 Eagle Scouts and 2025 Silver Beavers!
Join us for the Council’s biggest celebration of Scouting with an afternoon of fellowship, inspiration, and gratitude. This special event celebrates the Silicon Valley Monterey Bay Council’s award-winning achievements in 2025. We will recognize our Silver Beaver Award recipients and the 2025 Class of Eagle Scouts. This year we have also have two Sea Scout Quartermaster Scouts and a Venturing Summit Scout. We will be celebrating Troop 599 (Loma Prieta) for 100 years of service, as well as Troop 2 (Pioneer) and Troop 539 (Pioneer) for their 100 + years. This is an afternoon to celebrate the achievements and incredible volunteers in our Scouting program.
Silver Beavers Honorees: Madhu Bora, Betty S. Chou, Jean-Paul Hill, Ed Snyder, Doug Wiley, and Mike Winter.
Our guest star is Eagle Scout, Nathan Orloff, a Los Angeles-based film editor, known for Saturday Night (2024), John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023), and Ghostbuster: Frozen Empire (2024).
He has received a number of nominations for his work on John Wick including earning the Astra Creative Arts Award.

Where: Santa Clara Marriott-California Ballroom 2700 Mission College Blvd. Santa Clara
1:00 Registration and Eagle Scout Project Showcase begins at 1:15 p.m. Presentation program at 2:30-4:30 p.m.
Attire: Business Casual / Scout Uniform
The afternoon begins with the Eagle Scout Project Showcase where 2025 Eagle Scouts will share their project stories. Light refreshments and appetizers will be served. The program, beginning at 2:30 p.m., will feature the Eagle Scouts walking across the stage to accept congratulations. The Silver Beavers will be celebrated, and other council awards will be presented. The latest Council updates and successes will be shared by our Council President Stephen Henkenmeier.

2025 Eagle Scout Project Showcase
Earning the rank of Eagle Scout is no easy feat. It is one of life’s significant accomplishments only young people of virtue, focus and commitment are able to achieve.
We want showcase your work and give you the recognition you deserve at our 2026 Annual Recognition Dinner.
Join us for our in-person Eagle Scout showcase at the main entrance of the event where you can display your project on a trifold presentation board and interact with event attendees who would like to learn about your project.
