This fund will be utilized for ongoing conservation-based programs, activities, maintenance, and upkeep at our camp properties to mitigate the spread of fire should a fire event occur; keep our outdoor environment pristine; teach young people about the importance of conservation and protecting/preserving the natural world; and to ensure we have staffing available to deliver these programs in perpetuity.

THE WILDEST PLACES BUILD THE BEST MEMORIES!
Our forests are more than scenic backdrops—they’re classrooms, ecosystems, and sanctuaries for Scouts. The Forest Preservation Fund ensures that these sacred outdoor spaces are cared for year-round, with ongoing wildfire mitigation, conservation projects, and trail maintenance. From the smallest seedling to the oldest grove, each part of our wilderness deserves careful stewardship.
Through this fund, we provide sustainable access to nature while also protecting it. Campers learn firsthand how fire safety, native plant preservation, and erosion control aren’t just tasks—they’re acts of reverence. These projects aren’t temporary fixes; they’re long-term commitments to the land and legacy we share.
Perhaps most important, the fund makes nature a teacher. By pairing conservation education with hands-on service projects, Scouts learn their role in preserving what they love. This is how we inspire the next generation of conservationists—not in theory, but through daily practice.
“I learned what it means to leave a campsite better than I found it—and that goes for forests, too. That’s why I give back.”
—Eagle Scout, Camp Conservation Crew Member
“A Scout is clean in thought, word, and deed—and in the care of the world around him.”
—Inspired by the Scout Law
“The clearest way into the Universe is through a forest wilderness.“
