This fund will be utilized for the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of all facilities so they are top-notch for all of our Scouters; additions or upgrades to facilities; planning and permitting for future capital projects; and staff to do this work.
Every organization needs the ability to adapt, and this fund gives SVMBC the freedom to act when opportunity or crisis strikes. Whether responding to wildfire damage, launching a new pilot program, or filling an urgent staffing gap, the Discretionary Fund empowers leadership to make quick, mission-driven decisions.
It’s a resource that fuels innovation and resilience. Sometimes the biggest impact comes from the smallest flexibility—being able to say “yes” when a need arises unexpectedly or “let’s try” when a great idea needs a test run.
