Community Leadership Breakfast
For people who care about what is happening to kids, Scouting is the fun, exciting program that builds better young people. Scouting’s programs and outdoor adventures prepare young people for a lifetime of character and leadership.
The Community Leadership Breakfast is our council’s biggest event supporting the annual Friends of Scouting campaign. Locally, Scouting is over 100 years strong, with mutually beneficial partnerships within the neighborhoods we serve. Over 9,000 youth are in our council, with 4,000 adult volunteer leaders dedicating to guiding them along their path.
The annual breakfast event is table-host driven, with the support of individuals, business sectors, friends and colleagues who gather together for an inspiring morning. Past speakers include Steve Young, Rick Barry, Randall Stephenson, Kevin Surace and Gen. Jim Mattis to name a few. Gathering together to support today’s youth through the time-tested tradition of adult volunteer leaders who are guided by the Scout Oath and Law.

A message from our Friends of Scouting Chair, Kevin Surace
I hope you were as blown away with General Mattis’ words as we were. He knows as we do that high integrity leadership is critical for the future of our country. We are $50,000 short of our goal. If he touched you with his words, would you be able to help us out with a donation of $100 to $1000 to help us reach our goal. As a little bonus today…here are some of the general’s most impactful words. Enjoy.
P.S. If you made your gift before hearing General Mattis, here is your chance to double down for maximum impact for local Scouting. We know you will be inspired.
