Working as patrols, this hands-on course provides adult leaders the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts in the out-of-doors. Upon completion, leaders should feel comfortable teaching Scouts the basic skills required to obtain the First Class rank. Along with Scoutmaster Specifics this course is required of all direct contact leaders registered in Scouts BSA Troops in order to be considered “trained

*It is strongly recommended that you arrive as early as possible to have enought daylight to set up your tent and campsite. Sunset occurs at about 6:30 PM
For Parents and Leaders in Scouts BSA, Venturing, and Sea Scout Programs
This course will provide you with the basic outdoor skills needed to start and guide an outdoor program in accordance with BSA standards. The skills taught are based on the outdoor skills found in the Scout Handbook.
No dinner Friday night so please either eat before or bring a sack dinner. There will be a Friday evening cracker barrel
More details will be provided during the Boy Scout Leader Specifics indoor leader training course
Registration Deadline October 1, 2024. This will allow you to prepare for the session in a patrol
Completion of the ScoutsBSA Indoor Leader Specifics Training course is Mandatory prior to taking this course
