Help Build a Lasting Legacy through the James E. West Fellowship

 

Encouraging Endowment gifts to our council is one of our highest priorities. It is one of the best ways to ensure that our council can continue to offer the outstanding programs it now has and also grow to meet the needs of the youth and communities we serve. An integral part of our goal to expand our Endowment trust fund and ensure the future financial stability of the council is the James E. West Fellowship Award. Named after the first Chief Scout Executive of the Boy Scouts of America, it is a national recognition for those who contribute $1,000 or more in cash or securities to our council’s endowment fund.  Many of our James E West Fellows contribute annually to grow increase their member level while securing the future of Scouting locally.

James E. West Recognition Levels

  • $1,000+ Bronze member level
  • $5,000+ Silver member level
  • $10,000+ Gold member level
  • $15,000+ Diamond member level
  • $25,000+ Become a Second Century Society Member (for more info on 2nd Century Contact Heather Lerner at heather.lerner@scouting.org)

It is important to note that a qualifying gift for recognition as a James E. West Fellow is in addition to, and does not diminish or replace, your annual gift to the Friends of Scouting Campaign.

Organizations or individuals may contribute an award in honor of someone, an Eagle Scout, a Silver Beaver recipient, or significant Scout leader, or in memory of a departed loved one, business associate, or special Scouter. Each donor will be recognized with a personalized 8 x 10 certificate, distinctive lapel pin specific to level of giving and an embroidered square knot.
