The Silicon Valley Monterey Bay Council, Boy Scouts of  America relies on more than 5,000 volunteers, guided by 30 full & part time employees and a seasonal camp staff to promote the mission of preparing young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetime by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Participation from all corners of the community is necessary to provide the most robust Scouting program for as many young people as possible. If you want to make a difference in our community through Scouting, we welcome your passion and talent. You can participate as a volunteer directly with youth, in an administrative role as a district or council committee member, as a community partner sponsoring a unit, or as a funder. Find our more on our volunteer opportunities page.

Scouting is a great career or part-time job. See our employment page for current openings or to explore career opportunities.

Consider joining our Alumni Association to reconnect or stay connected. The Alumni Association welcomes anyone who’s life was positively affected by Scouting. If you were a Scout, were in a Scout family, were on Camp Staff, are married to a Scout, you are welcome. Find out more on our Alumni page.
