ADELLA GARLAND, MD Trauma Medical Director. Specializes in Trauma/General Surgery/Surgical Critical Care and Minimal Invasive Surgery. Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery (Affiliated), Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Garland graduated from the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine in 1990. Originally from Denver Colorado.
EILEEN HOOVER, RN, BSN, MSN, Trauma Program Manager. Over 39 years Nursing experience, with 35 in Emergency Nursing. Originally from Rockford, Illinois. Has served on multiple workgroups on Trauma throughout the state. Multiple presentations to health care professionals and the public on a variety of injury prevention topics, trauma care, trauma case studies, trauma system.
HONGNGOC NGUYEN, RN, BSN, Injury Prevention Coordinator, came to the U.S. with her family in 2003, achieved a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at San Jose State University (SJSU) in 2016 and is currently enrolled in the SJSU nursing master program. Began her nursing career at VMC, working in the step-down unit and ambulatory clinics. Her nursing passion is to share her knowledge and experiences with patients and colleagues, work in the community, and empower individuals to overcome barriers. She enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews, watching movies, and traveling.
