After School Program Leader (Salinas)

Job Title: After School Program Leader (school sites in Salinas)
Pay scale: Part-time hourly, $17:00/hour DOE
Reports to: Site Coordinator and Program Manager

Job Summary: The Program Leader conducts a character development program to assist children in good citizenship, sportsmanship and fitness, family understanding, respectful relationships, personal achievement, friendly service and fun and adventure in a Boy Scouts of America Outreach After School Program.

The Program Leader encourages student success and self-esteem using materials provided by the program and/or recreation activities such as sports and games, visual and performing arts, etc., to a group of 20 students. Recruit and support volunteers to help with meetings and activities.

Work dates follow the academic calendar of school sites.

Requirements:
Preferred requirements: a minimum of 48 college credit units or an Associate’s degree.
Minimum requirements: High School Diploma or GED.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
• Passion for helping school-aged children to achieve academic and personal success.
