District Pinewood Derby!

It’s that time of year again! Time to get ready for Pinewood Derby! So get ready, start working on your cars and limbering up those wheels! This year the District Pinewood Derby will be on January 24th at 1PM located at 4848 Pearl Avenue in the Holy Family Community Center. So bring your cub scout, your den, your pack and whoever else wants to race!

DADS (and everyone else for that matter)! Tired of the lengthy rules? Then you will enjoy our Outlaw Class where anything goes! Want to add some batteries and a fan? Go for it! Want to only use 3 wheels? Sure! Curious how canted wheels help? Try it out!

FAQ:
Q: Can we only come if you are in the top of your pack?
A: No! Come if you are number 1 or number 100! Pinewood derby is fun because the kids (and parents) get to see their cars run down the track.

Q: Who can race in the outlaw class?
A: Anyone and everyone! Does your cub scout simply have a second car they want to race? Now they can! Has mom figured out how to add a motor to the car? Let’s try it!

Have a question? Email Paul Johnson (Paul.Johnson2@scouting.org) or Rob Patience (rpatience@yahoo.com)!
