Get your Cub Scout out and moving with our Year Round Cub Scout Activities ranging from one day events to weekend adventures to entire weeks full of fun.

2019 – 2020 Activities


Cub Scout Shoot-Out

WHAT:    This fun-filled day will teach safety and proper BB, archery, and slingshot shooting techniques as well as give Tigers through Webelos an opportunity to focus on their Rank Specific Shooting Sports awards for Archery, BB Gun or Sling Shot. This program offers two separate sessions each day. (BB, Archery, and Sling Shot each session.)  Scouts can attend both sessions or choose morning or afternoon.

WHO: Cub Scouts of all ages and an adult partner.  Please note: Siblings are not able to participate in this event.

WHERE: Chesebrough Scout Reservation.  Off Highway 9, 1.5 miles from Skyline Blvd. above Saratoga.

WHEN: This program offers two separate sessions each day. (BB, Archery, and Sling Shot each session.)  The morning session will run from 8:30 am check-in to 12:30 pm with lunch.  The afternoon session will run from 12:00 pm check-in and lunch to 4:00 pm. Lunch is served from noon to 1:00.  This is not an overnight event.

The adult-to-youth ratio for Cub activities is one-to-four for Webelos, one-to-two for Wolf and Bear, and one-to- one for Tiger.


Mom & Me

May 17th – 19th @ Chesebrough

WHAT: Pack your day pack and get ready for a fun-filled weekend of archery, BB guns, crafts, games and much, much more!!   All activity supplies will be provided.

WHO: All Tiger, Wolf, Bear Cubs and Webelos. Each Scout must bring a Mom (or Aunt, Grandma, etc.)

Family Camp

Come join us for a weekend of family camping near the coast in the beautiful California redwoods of Santa Cruz & Santa Clara Counties. Archery, nature hikes, campfires, games, sports, and FUN! Great food, starting with cracker barrel Friday night, breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday and Sunday breakfast.

Cub Scout Day Camps

At cub camp, we create adventures for Cub Scouts and their families. Cub Camp is an opportunity for your Cub Scout to enjoy Cub Scout activities in a day camp style setting. Dates and location vary throughout the Council and the summer.

Cub-O-Ree

WHAT:   Packs, this is a great opportunity for your brand new scouts that join in September to experience the fun of Scouting. Whether you have been to Chesebrough before or not, everyone is welcome to this fun one day camp!

WHO: Cub Scouts of all ages and an adult partner.  Please note: Siblings are not able to participate in this event.

WHERE: Chesebrough Scout Reservation.  Off Highway 9, 1.5 miles from Skyline Blvd. above Saratoga.

ACTIVITIES: 
· Archery
· BB Guns
· Climbing Wall
· Arts & Crafts (typically a Beading project)
· Indian Dance
· Scoutcraft (Knots/Knives/Flags)

· Cooking (Banana Boat
WHEN: Scouts can come to either day! Check-In is at 8:30 and program runs from 9-4:30.

Pop & Pal

WHAT:         Pack your day pack and get ready for a fun-filled weekend of archery, BB guns, crafts, games and much, much more!!   All activity supplies will be provided.

WHO:           All Tiger, Wolf, Bear Cubs and Webelos. Each Scout must bring a Dad (or Uncle, Grandpa, etc.)

Please bring the following forms to all Council cub activities:

Health Form (part A&B only) for all youth and adults.

Firearm Permission Form for youth attending events that involve shooting sports.

As well as the Pack providing a minimum ratio of 1:4, adult to youth except for Tiger Cubs where the Tiger Cub Partner is required for each youth.
